STUDIO USE POLICIES

PRODUCTIONS

Prohibited 

  • No Glitter 

  • No Hazers or Fog Machines

  • No Adult Entertainment/Onlyfans productions

  • No Hate Speech content

Seamless Backdrop

  • During the booking process, you can select a standard pull (6-feet) or extended pull (10-feet) of any single roll of superior seamless.

  • Please email Nicholas if you require additional seamless during your booking, and you will be billed accordingly.

  • Please do not cut the used or damaged seams. We will make a fresh cut for the next appointment. Cutting a seamless backdrop will automatically incur a $100 fee.

Entry 

  • Your entry code will be sent to you via text one hour before your scheduled arrival.

  • Weekend access requires buzzing in and collecting a key pass in a security box on the second-floor stairwell landing. 

Tape

  • The only tape to be used is Gaffer’s or green/blue painter’s tape. Any damage caused by duct tape,3M products, etc., will incur a refinishing fee.  A third-party specialist will provide a quote based on the extent of the damage.

Walls & Ceilings

  • Under no circumstance can anything be affixed to our walls and ceilings with adhesive hooks or screws, etc. Should you require a special exemption, please email us before you book.

Building Common Areas

  • All production equipment and personnel must remain inside the studio space.

Cleaning

  • Garbage and recycling are sorted into their appropriate bins.

  • Any dust/debris or liquids from production are cleaned up.

  • Equipment is neatly stored in its labelled locations.

  • All tape was removed from the floor.

  • On2 is not responsible for cleaning any mess related to food, drink, props, etc. Failure to clean the studio will result in a $350 hired cleaning fee.

Overtime

  • Unannounced overtime is charged at $75 per 30 minutes and begins 10 minutes after your scheduled end time.

EQUIPMENT RENTALS

  • All studio equipment rentals are restricted to use within On2’s premises and are valid only for the duration of your booked session. Equipment may not be removed from the studio at any time.

  • Rental fees apply per session and are non-transferable.

  • Any damage, misuse, or loss will be the renter's responsibility and may incur additional charges.

  • Please handle all gear carefully and notify staff immediately if an issue arises during your booking.


Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling: You may request to reschedule your event at least seven (7) full business days before your booking date, pending availability. Rescheduling is not guaranteed and may incur additional fees.

  • Cancellations Within 7 Business Days: Cancellations made within 7 business days of the scheduled event will result in a forfeiture of 50% of the total event fee.

  • Cancellations Within 48 Hours: Cancellations made within 48 hours of the event are non-refundable. The full event fee will be retained.

  • No-Shows: Failure to arrive or communicate by the booking time will be considered a no-show and will result in 100% forfeiture of the booking.

Security

  • A 24-hour camera system is in place for liability, damage monitoring, and to record arrival and departure times, as well as equipment and backdrop usage.

Production Liability & Insurance

  • You must ensure you have production and liability insurance in place. 

  • Short-term production insurance can be purchased through Front Stage.

  • All equipment and backdrops provided by 2ND FLOOR must be handled with care and respect. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or tampering will be the client's sole responsibility. All repair and replacement costs, plus a $150 handling fee per incident, will be billed accordingly.

Private Events

Prohibited

  • No Glitter

  • No confetti

  • No Hazers (smoke machines)

Hired Cleaning:

  • No deep cleaning is needed by you; garbage can be left inside.

  • Tidy up food/messes and return furniture.

  • If the space is left "ruined" or "destroyed," an extra $200 fee will be charged.

Self-Cleaning:

  • Deep cleaning (sweep and mop) is required to return the space to its original state.

  • All garbage must be bagged and disposed of by the freight elevator (down the hall on the right).

  • If left "ruined" or "destroyed," a hired cleaning fee ($350) will be charged.

Floors

  • The only tape to be used is Gaffer’s or green/blue painter’s tape. Any damage caused by duct tape or negligence will incur a refinishing fee. A third-party specialist will provide a quote based on the extent of the damage.

Walls & Ceilings

  • Under no circumstance can anything be affixed to our walls and ceilings with threaded, screw-in-style hooks or screws.

  • 3M Brand hooks are acceptable as long as they are removed after your event. A $100 removal fee will be charged for any hooks that are not removed.

  •  Any damage caused by wall hooks or negligence will incur a refinishing fee. A third-party specialist will provide a quote based on the extent of the damage.

Damage & Event Insurance

  • It is your responsibility to purchase appropriate event liability insurance.

  • Any damage due to negligence, misuse, and/or tampering will be the client's sole responsibility. All repair and replacement costs, plus a $200 handling fee per incident, will be billed accordingly.

Loitering

  • The studio door cannot be propped open and must remain closed for the duration of your event.

  • All event guests must remain inside the studio. 

Security

  • A 24-hour camera system is in place for liability, damage, and to monitor arrival and departure times.

Rescheduling

  • Events can be rescheduled within 30 days of the booking date.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling: You may request to reschedule your event at least 14 business days before the scheduled date. Rescheduling is subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

  • Cancellations Between 14 and 7 Business Days: Cancellations made between 14 and 7 business days prior to the scheduled event will result in a 50% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations Within 7 Business Days: Cancellations made within 7 business days of the event are non-refundable, and the full event fee will be forfeited.

  • No-Shows: Failure to arrive or notify us in writing will be considered a no-show and will result in 100% forfeiture of the event fee.

Noise Control

  • Please keep the noise to a reasonable level to avoid disturbing the neighbours.

  • No outside DJ equipment is permitted; please use our in-house Big Speaker stereo system.

Event Hours

  • Events must end on time. Unannounced overtime is charged at double the hourly rate and begins 10 minutes after your scheduled end time.

Capacity: 55 People (standing)

  • Exceeding this capacity will result in immediate event termination and a $1000 fine.
